The Secondary 4 Team Test was a fun and engaging competition. Students worked together within a 30-second window to answer questions that ranged from school-based information to pop culture and sports. They were also tested on their knowledge of linguistics. Finally, there were extended speaking questions on various topics that required students to take a stance and explain their reasoning to the judges. The S4 students participated enthusiastically, and each class had multiple students acting as representatives. The good-natured competition brought out the best in our students, and the winning class was overjoyed when the announcement was made. The English teaching team looks forward to building on this experience across different grade levels in order to continue making English a fun, relatable, and exciting subject that nurtures interest and proficiency in our students.
