The LHYMSS English learning and cultural exchange program provides an authentic English learning environment for students who are interested in studying abroad and experiencing the cultural exchange during their homestay accommodation in the summer holiday. This year, 18 students from form 3 to 4 travelled to Auckland in New Zealand from 23 July – 4 Aug 2018. They attended English courses in the New Zealand Language Centre in the morning and went on excursions with the local activity companions at numerous educational sites and famous landmarks including Auckland Sky Tower, Auckland Zoo, Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium, the Hobbiton, Devonport, Auckland Museum, Snow Planet, Horseriding village, One Tree Hill and Rotorua. All of the students completed the 2-week English course and learnt a lot about the Maori culture in New Zealand.
